BOTL Info

Another list of favorites from Zymurgy...

Zymurgy magazine, the publication of the American Homebrewers Association, released its ninth annual list of the 50 best beers in the country and West Michigan breweries can pat themselves on the back.

Bell's Brewery Inc., of Kalamazoo, and Founder Brewing Co., of Grand Rapids, dominated by putting two beers in the top three and three brews in the top five.
Bell's IPA Two Hearted came in at No. 2, trailing Pliny the Elder from Russian River, of Santa Rosa, Calif.
Pliny the Elder has won the last three years.
Founders' Kentucky Breakfast Stout was tied for third with Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA. Bell's Hopslam took fifth and the Expedition Stout claimed 19th.  Marshall's Dark Horse Brewing Co. also came in tied for No. 48 for its IPA, Crooked Tree.
